I don't intend to spread this blog around to the multitudes just so I can look like the smarty pants who knows everything about everything on ASOIAF. I just put this on the web so that those who really, really couldn't wait for answers could find them and have hope.

Daenerys's Dragon Dream

We know that Daenerys has had prophetic dreams and visions that came true. Let us hope that this dream she has is indeed as prophetic as her others.

She dreamed of Drogo and the first ride they had taken together on the night they were wed. In the dream it was not horses they rode, but dragons.

At the beginning of her story, she dreamed about the black dragon and it came true. She also saw a vision in the House of the Undying of the thousands of slaves that she freed and that came true as well. Let's hope that the dream Dany has of riding dragons with Drogo comes true. He was a great rider of horses. He can be a great rider of dragons too. It is known.

I am a crazy fan of Game of Thrones and I created this blog for other fans who really wanted to know if Khal Drogo could ever return to the moon-of-his-life, Daenerys, who so desperately misses her sun-and-stars.

Here, I will share my observations, analysis, musings, etc. related to Khal Drogo's possible return. Please be mindful that these are just my speculations and they are heavily biased by my wanting Drogo back. I have been digging deep. Whether they turn out to be true or not, some people want to be completely surprised with the ending, so try not to get too excited with what I share.

My Story

When I reached the end of Season 1 of Game of Thrones, I was so stricken with shock and grief that it took me a few days to process it. First I was pissed off at Mirri Maz Duur, then at George R. R. Martin, then at the fans who were happy Drogo died, then at myself for letting some fictional story grip me that way. I turned to the internet to see if anyone had posted spoilers on whether Khal Drogo would come back to life. I mostly found online forum posts all repeating the same unimaginative thing: "He is never coming back, you idiot."

Next, I purchased all of the available Song of Ice and Fire books on Kindle and searched through every page that mentioned "Drogo" and read and reread all the details that I could pick up on. I was also able to find better theories on the internet and clues as I re-watched my favorite scenes of Game of Thrones. In my quest, I was able to find just a little bit of hope; enough to shun the darkness that cried never never never.

Dedication

I dedicate this blog to the few fans who want to believe. I will post whatever clues I might find that might keep us believing. We know that Khal Drogo's return might turn out to be random and pointless, but at least there is a small chance of it happening and that is better than nothing. We might be wrong, we might look stupid, but at least we have hope. Even if George R. R. Martin does not bring Khal Drogo back, we can be happy that he created such a great character and know that when Daenerys dies, she will ride with Drogo and Rhaego in the Night Lands forever.
